A few weeks ago I passed along the link to the latest edition of the South Pacific WW2 Museum’s newsletter. Steve Harding, our author of The Castaway’s War and editor-in-chief of Military History Magazine is part of the list and he gets everything you all get. Steve was very interested in the museum, and since I had established a connection to them he asked me if I would like to interview them for an article in the magazine. Of course I jumped at this happily! Since they are halfway around the world, the task was to prepare a series of questions for them to respond to and send them to the folks who do promotions for the museum, that would be James Carter and Bradley Wood.
This was done and the guys sent the responses back promptly. Steve felt that it was important to get the article out sooner than the next publication date, so it is now on line! I’ve been published twice in the Tin Can Sailor publication, but I consider this my first professional job. If all goes well, maybe it won’t be my last. So enjoy reading about the museum, and please share the article. They are trying to raise money to build a more permanent and larger structure to host visitors, educational programming and all the artifacts they are collecting right there at Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu. Our men on Strong spent their down time there resting, recreating and chilling between missions. I truly hope this gets the word out for them and they reach their goal!!!

Let's help them get that quonset hut and build this museum. And if you know Elon Musk, ask him to have a look please. :o)
