Back in September of 2018 I wrote about a book by Clay Bonnyman Evans, "Bones of My Grandfather" Alexander died in the Battle of Tarawa and Clay was present when members of History Flight recovered his remains. I'm honored to announce that my grandfather, First Lt. Alexander "Sandy" Bonnyman, Jr., will be inducted into the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame in November. Though raised in Tennessee, he was born in Atlanta and spent his first six years there.
